John S. Klimasara, of Manhattan formerly of Oak Forest, age 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Devoted husband to his surviving wife Marielana (nee Geer) Klimasara of 51 years; loving father to his children Amy (Ron) Cernauskas, Aaron Klimasara; Papa to his grandchildren Matthew and Adam; loving brother to Joseph (Ruth) Klimasara, Mary (John) Taglioli; loving uncle, great uncle and brother-in-law; Beloved dog "Buddy". Preceded in death by his parents John and Esther (Watson) Klimasara. John was a graduate of Fenger High School. He retired in 2010 from fabricating and welding. John was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed gardening and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the National American Legion and served our country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Private family services will be held at a later date.
