Obituary

Joyce M. Fellers, the woman who could make you crack a smile faster than Elvis could swivel his hips, has left the building. Born on October 23, 1964, in the quaint town of Joliet, IL, she was a beacon of joy right where she started, in the very same town, on December 29, 2024. Survived by her siblings Terrence Fellers, Steven (Sue) Fellers, Kathleen (Keith) Keogh, Michael Fellers, and Janet Fellers, nieces Jessica (Ray) Duffy, Mikayla Keogh, Briana Keogh, and Nichole (Tom) Popovich, nephews, Patrick (Lindsey) Fellers, Eddie Samuilis, Michael Samuilis, and Ian Fellers, numerous great nieces and nephews, and her faithful feline companion "Daisy". Preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Irene Fellers, sister Rita Samuilis, and brother William Fellers.

Joyce graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School and spent many years in her adult life as a caretaker for senior citizens. Now, if laughter is the best medicine, Joyce was the unofficial pharmacist of chuckles and grins. She had a heart so big; it made the Grand Canyon look like a crack in the sidewalk. Joyce was the kind of person who could find something in common with everyone, even if it was just a mutual appreciation for The Rock's eyebrow raise or a shared affection for "Heartbreak Hotel."

Cats adored her, probably because they recognized a kindred independent spirit. And let's not forget her nieces and nephews, who were convinced their Aunt Joyce was secretly a superhero. She had this superpower, you see, to always be there with a loving hug or a thoughtful word, turning a bad day into a good story.

Joyce could be described as loving, thoughtful, and selfless – the holy trinity of being a downright awesome human being. If life was a wrestling match, she was the undisputed champion of spreading joy.

So, let's not say goodbye to Joyce M. Fellers. Instead, let's give her a standing ovation for a performance well done. She played the role of a lifetime, and though the curtain has closed, her encore will echo in the laughter she left behind. Rock on, Joyce, and thank you for the memories.
