Obituary

Judy Winters (Martino) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17th in St. John Indiana. She was 77 years old. Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected death. Judy was born on July 24,1946.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband Billy Winters; her adoring children Annie Mager (Ron), Tamra Paschall (Jeff), James Fuller (Christine), and Patrick Fuller (Lisa). Forever remembered by her siblings Robert Martino and Mark Martino (Annie). She was the most amazing grandmother to Justin, Trevor, Saskia, Vivian, James, Emmett, Maisie, and Rose. She is also loved and remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Judy is also survived by her former husband, Denton Fuller. Judy was predeceased by her parents Irving Martino and Delores Layton.

Judy was born in Blue Island, Illinois. She spent time growing up in both the Blue Island and the Aberdeen, Washington area. She loved the outdoors and spent many years as the food service and provider manager at the Calumet Township Senior Center, as well as with the Chicago Public Schools.

Judy was never shy about adventure and travel. Her husband Billy and her were known for many spontaneous trips and surprising family members at a whim. She was a devout Catholic and loved spending time at church and in adoration. She found comfort and enjoyment in spending time with her family and friends, and she deeply loved spending time with all her grandchildren. Judy was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions including cooking, crafts, and shopping for treasures with her friends. Italian women everywhere are now vying to fill Judy's shoes as "The World's Greatest Cook." She loved live music and was a big fan of The Rolling Stones. Her heart had no bounds and she always greeted everyone with an infectious smile. Judy was simply the BEST!

Judy was a beautiful and giving person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning, it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate and made an impact on so many lives. Judy will be forever missed.

Visitation for Judy will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan, IL. Funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, March 22, 2024 beginning with prayers at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home followed by a procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan, IL for 11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Kevin Huber officiating. Committal service and Interment will immediately follow Mass at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
