Kenneth W. Case, age 80, of Belleville, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018, at home with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Ann (nee Hobbs) Case, his children Glenn (Rebecca), David (Azra), Marilyn (William) Swan, grandchildren Benjamin, Christopher, Eric, Marlow, step-grandchildren Alma and Selma Obic, and Brittany and Brandon Sevik, step-great-grandchildren Teo and Malia, brothers Marvin and Gordon, and sister Jo Ann Hutchinson. Preceded in death by his parents Lester and Viola Case. Kenneth graduated from Lincoln-Way Community High School and lived in Manhattan and Plainfield, Illinois, until 1992. Kenneth and Ann moved to Jamestown, North Dakota, and owned and operated a campground until Kenneth's retirement in 2008. Kenneth had an innate ability to build and fix almost anything, using this skill to help anyone in need. Kenneth had a gentle heart, believed in kindness, loved a good football game, and is known for his love of history and world events. Visitation for Kenneth will be Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9-11:00 A.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Alagodi officiating. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan. To extend Kenneth's legacy of kindness to others, the Kenneth W. Case Nursing Scholarship has been established at the School of Nursing, Minnesota State University, Mankato, to support nursing students interested in hospice and long-term care.
