Kent W. Heatherwick, age 66, of Kankakee, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Presence St Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. He is survived by his son Adam (Shauna) Heatherwick of Wilmington and Andrew Heatherwick of Lena, IL, three grandchildren; Randee, Reese, and Grace, two brothers, Alan (Beverley-2013) Heatherwick, and Lane (Linda) Heatherwick, one niece and two nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Everett and Hazel (nee Smith) Heatherwick. Kent graduated from Peotone High School and received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Joliet Junior College. He worked at many places in service management but was always a farmer at heart. Kent enjoyed traveling, camping, flying, sporting events, especially the Chicago Bears, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral service for Kent will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Young officiating.
