Kyle Patrick Stalter, age 48, of Diamond, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet with his loving family at his side. Survived by his wife of 22 years, Jennifer (née Mueller) Stalter; children Kayla Stalter and Benjamin Stalter; mother Sharon (née Rogers) Hickey; siblings Kristy deBoer, Kelly (Daniel) Ketelaar, and Kenneth Hickey; parents-in-law Ron and Gina Mueller; siblings-in-law Melissa (Stephen) Diehl and Chad (Laura) Mueller; cousin and best friend Brendan Clancy; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his stepfather Timothy Hickey.

Kyle was a graduate of Providence Catholic High School, class of '96, where he excelled at football, breaking several state records as a running back and earning two state championships. He was one of the original players on the Manhattan Shamrock Rugby team, where he met the love of his life, Jenny. Together they planted roots in Diamond, IL, and grew their beautiful family. Kyle was employed at Argonne National Laboratory for many years, where he lead the sheet metal fabrication division. When he wasn’t working, he dedicated his time and talent coaching several of his kid’s teams. He loved spending time with his kids, taking them individually to several Chicago Cubs games, making fans out of both.

Kyle also enjoyed a trip to the Redwoods State and National Park in Northern CA as a child and always intended on bringing his family there. While he did not get to show his family the Redwoods, he certainly enjoyed many family vacations to Cape Canaveral, where he was again able to be with the most important people in his life, his wife and his children.

While battling his first bout with cancer, Kyle experienced a pivotal moment in his life when he encountered Jesus in his home. This encounter lit Kyle’s heart on fire with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and radically changed his life forever. Kyle became an active member of the Christian Life Assembly Church in Diamond, where he led several community outreach programs, served on the board of the church, and was the youth ministry leader for several years. One of his favorite youth camps was the Royal Family Kids Camp, giving hope to countless foster children. Kyle, his wife Jenny, and their two children consider this church their extended family, a place they will always call home.

Kyle was an adoring husband, amazing father, beloved son, protective brother, fantastic uncle, and loyal friend, and while he was all these things, his titles that he wore most proudly and held most dear were Husband, Dad, and Disciple of Christ.

Visitation for Kyle will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Christian Life Assembly Church, 2960 East Division St., Diamond, IL 60416. His funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 6:00pm, also at the church. Cremation will be respectfully addressed following services.
