Age 66, of Elwood, IL passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home. Born January 7, 1951 to the late John and Helen (nee Zavorski) Banas. Larry was a skillful carpenter and craftsman, avid community volunteer, and proud grandparent, father, and husband. Surviving are his beloved wife, Donna (nee Valentinas) Banas of Elwood; two sons, Drew (Jennifer) Banas and Aaron Banas; three grandchildren, Ryan, Ella, and Joseph Banas; and one sister, Valerie Losos. Cremation rites have been accorded. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church: 255 W. North St., Manhattan, with memorial visitation one hour preceding services. Inurnment Guardian Angel Cemetery, Manhattan.
