Larry Bradley, age 80 of Manhattan, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at his home with family at his side. He is survived by his daughters, Geri (Susanne) Johnson and Toni (Scott) Kashin, stepchildren, Joy (Dan) Werfelman and Ronald (Dawn) Avitt, grandchildren, Destiny (Tony Reeder) Eymer, William Griffin, Alyssa Kashin, James Kashin, step grandchildren, Myrila Avitt and Ashley Werfelman, great granddaughter Madelyn Reeder, brothers, Marvin, Dean (Dale), James (Peggy), Melvin (Marsha), and his sister Alice Mills. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Medley and Nola Bradley, sister Zola (Dean) McConnell, sister-in-law Goldi Bradley, brother-in-law Gene Mills, step grandson Daniel Werfelman, his first wife Patricia A. Mair Bradley and his second wife Ila F. Minor Bradley. Larry graduated from Bucklin-Macon Community High School in 1960 and enjoyed and attended almost every annual class reunion. A longtime Manhattan resident and proud CAT employee, Larry worked for Caterpillar in Joliet for over 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid bingo player, loved talking about cars, his favorite being his PT Cruiser with the flames and thoroughly enjoyed attending Bradley – Stanley family reunions in Bucklin Missouri. Larry loved eagles, the American flag, animals both big and small including his pet raccoon and fox he had when he was younger. He never missed cardiac rehab at Silver Cross Hospital and continued to go after he was finished continuing many friendships he made while there. Visitation for Larry will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan. Funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 5:00 P.M. Interment will take place on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
