Obituary

Age 91, of Manhattan, IL passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Silver Cross Medical Center in New Lenox, IL. Born March 16, 1927 in Custer Park, IL to the late Henry and Lucille (nee Girot) Domagalla. Lawrence was a lifetime farmer of the Manhattan area. He was a member of the Will County Farm Bureau, Association of Milk Producers (A.M.P.I.), and the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wilton Center. He was very crafty and enjoyed making things for his children, especially his most popular, windmills. In his most recent years he enjoyed collecting rosaries from all over the world. Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Charlotte (nee Dralle) Domagalla, whom he married September 14, 1950 in Morris; four children, Larry (Sally) Domagalla of Peotone, IL, Ricky Domagalla of Manhattan, Randy (Paulette) Domagalla of Manhattan, and Daniel (Kerry) Domagalla of Ashkum, IL; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Harriet Kyes of KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Lisa Domagalla; three brothers, Raymond, Melvin, and Cashmere Domagalla; and two sisters, Eleanor Hannaman and Barbara Borden. Per Lawrence's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in Mount St. Patrick Cemetery, Wilton Center, IL. Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to Mercy Home: 1140 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607 would be appreciated.
