Obituary

Lee William Brockman, age 76 of Manhattan, IL, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at Spring Creek Nursing Home and Rehab after reuniting with all his loved ones. Survived by his daughter Corey (John) Paoletti, brother Scott (Glenda) Brockman, stepdaughter Christina (Bob) Caprio, fiancée Irene "Renee" Keagle as well as her loving family (including many bonus grandkids), and special friends Kim Kilcoyne and Jim Moats. Preceded in death by his parents William and Lillian (nee Ban) Brockman and his brother William Brockman.

Lee worked for the Chicago Board of Trade as a commodity trader until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, but above all, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. It brought him joy to joke around with everybody when the opportunities struck. If anything made his eyes light up more, it was when he gave little gifts to the little ones in the family and saw the sheer excitement in their faces. Lee was also a big fan of old cowboy movies and took pleasure in a good cigar and glass of bourbon or beer when the mood was right. He was not opposed to a classic sweet treat either- some of his favorite delights were mint chocolate chip ice cream, eclairs, and his daily dose of Dunkin Donuts. He will be deeply missed by everyone in his old and new family.

Per Lee's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S. State St., Manhattan, IL 60442, 815-478-3321, www.forsythegouldfh.com
