Magdalena Cooper, age 72 of Berwyn, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Advocate Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn with family at her side. She is survived by her daugthers Lilliana (Michael) Fuller and Connie Cooper, son John Cooper, grandchildren Krysti, Jacqlyn, Alexis, Kylie, Julius, Cara, ChloeNoel and Nevaeh, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Matilda, Maria, Pazy and Martha, brothers Xaviar, Pedro and Alberto and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Martiniano and Maria De La Pas (Torres) Melendez and her daughter Anita. Magdalena was born in Monterrey Mexico. At an early age, her family moved to Chicago where she grew up. She was a long-time member of St. Pius Parish in Chicago. Magdalena served as a caregiver for many years and took great joy in helping others. She loved to cook and garden but found the most joy in spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020.
