Margaret H. Flatt (nee Loucks), of Manhattan, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 after 101 years, 11 months and 9 days of life. She was born to William and Jennie (Woodcock) Loucks on December 26, 1913. Survived by two daughters; Donna (Bill) Chellios of Manhattan and Marian (Bob) Edmonson of Ottumwa, IA, one son Marlin (Barbara) Flatt of Manhattan, 5 grandchildren; Connie (Doug) Koehn, Mark (Sandy) Chellios, Sheri (Mark) Jenny, Joe Flatt and Judy (Larry) Tierney, 10 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents William and Jennie Loucks, one sister Eleanor Setter and one brother Ora Loucks. Margaret was married to Marvin Flatt on December 11, 1934. She was an Avon Rep until the age of 92. She enjoyed many forms of needlework and was a faithful volunteer for OCP making crosses and socks for soldiers. She was a member of the Manhattan United Methodist Church for many years. Funeral service for Margaret Flatt will be Tuesday, December 8, 1:00 pm at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan. Interment, Manhattan Center Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 10:00 am until time of service.
