Margaret Hanik, age 96, of New Lenox passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2015 with family at her side at Lexington Health Care Center, Orland Park. Survived by her children, Dolores (Francis) Haley, Jeanne (Michael) Icenogle, Peggy Hanik, and Richard (Carol) Hanik, 4 grandchildren, Laura, Elizabeth, Kenneth and Gregory, 4 great grandchildren, 1 cousin, Walter Pavelchek and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Parents, Luke and Stella Stravasnik, her husband, John P. Hanik, her sister Dorothy Glavach and her brother, Luke Stravasnik. Margaret was born and raised in PA. She spent many years residing in Burbank, after retiring, her and John moved to Arizona, Margaret returned to the area in 2007. Funeral services will be private.
