Margaret A. "Marge" Jankowski, age 96, of Joliet passed away peacefully with family at her side on April 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet. Survived by her children; Carol (Dan-deceased) Anderson, Phyllis (Jack) Mahoney, Janet (Jim) Ruettiger, Sandy (Bob) Skerjan and William Jankowski, her grandchildren; Peggy (Darrin) Moore, Doug O'Connor, Gregg (Diane) Mahoney, Nick (Liz) Ruettiger, Karla (fiancé Nick Caliendo) Ruettiger, Mark (Heidi) Skerjan, Mike Skerjan, Dave (Samara) Anderson, Jenny (Kurt) Crater and Jackie (Brett) Gould, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Bodnar, her husband of 51 years Stanley R. Jankowski and her siblings; Mary Szopinski, Ann McCarney, Helen Rodeghero, Lillian Bodnar, Agnes Bodnar, Michael, John, Joseph, and Edward Bodnar. Marge retired from Shelby Craft Co. She was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church since it was founded serving on the CCW committee and she was a member of the Joliet Senior Citizens Group. Marge was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Visitation for Marge will be on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 10-11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 West North St., Manhattan, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. Marge will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodlawn Memorial park I, Joliet, immediately following her funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marge's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Waterstone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be most appreciated.
