Obituary

Margaret "Maggie" M. Longhini, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022, with family at her side. She is survived by her loving children; Joe Longhini, Helen Kulhan, Richard Longhini and Michelle (Anthony) Nemec, grandchildren; Brian Frainey, Logan Longhini, Catie (Jeff) Paris, Emily Kulhan, Lily Kulhan, Jack Kulhan, Steven Longhini, Austin Nemec and Dylan Nemec, great grandchildren; Rose, Aiden, Everett, Addison and Scarlett, brothers Tom (JoAnn) Costello and John Costello and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents William and Helen Costello and her loving husband Richard A. Longhini (2013). Maggie was a devout Catholic, an active member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed singing with the choir 'Music Corral" in Chicago. In addition, Maggie was an avid reader and enjoyed painting in her spare time. Maggie was also an accomplished beautician and owned her own salon. A business owner at heart she also owned and operated a pub called the "Wooden Shoe" in Mokena. A gifted baker and legendary cook, Maggie was known for overloading the plate. Maggie and her husband spent their retired years in Florida. Committal service with prayers for Maggie will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood where she will be reunited with her husband Richard.
