Margery D. Ellis (nee Lokushek), age 96, of Mokena, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 with her loving family at her side. She is survived by her daughters, Michele (John) Wognum, Ellen (Kevin) Jones, Beth Knoble, former son-in-law, Richard (Margaret Mott) Knoble, daughter-in-law, Elaine Ellis, grandchildren, Andrew (Shannon Baker) Wognum, Jennifer Torrence, Julie (Jason Dravet) Kapica, Wayne (Kim) Smith, Jonathan Smith, Natasha (Robert) Kriess, Aaron Nixon, David Ellis, Michael (Kaleb) Burris, Richard Knoble Jr., James Knoble, great-grandchildren, Esben, Sofia, AJ, Wyatt, Ruby, Tyler, Jeffrey Jr., Michael, Joseph, Wyatt and Jillian. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Marge is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, parents, Anthony and Margaret Lokushek, sons, Robert Ellis and David Ellis, sisters Katherine (Al) Gibson and Lucille (Frank) Sannino. Marge was described as the glue that held the family together. She was always a source of positivity and support to those around her. A breast cancer survivor, Marge had a strong character and never complained if things didn't turn out as expected. While living in Las Vegas, Marge loved to play the penny slots. She was a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoyed watching The Price is Right and All My Children. Marge also enjoyed watching shows starring Lucille Ball, Betty White and Shirley Temple. Marge took delight in going to Texas Roadhouse with her family on occasion. She was a terrific cook, who was known for her meatloaf, spaghetti and porkchop dinners, as well as her pierogis and kolaches. Marge was an inspiration to many and will be dearly missed. Visitation for Margery will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at 2:30 P.M.
