Marie L. Schleeter (nee Hlavka), age 81, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, October 2, 2015 at The Parc in Joliet. She is survived by her four step children; David (Ann) Schleeter of CA, Allen Schleeter of FL, Gerald Schleeter of Tinley Park, and Janet Schleeter of Channahon. Three grandchildren, Amy (Tim) Matthews of London, England, Victoria Schleeter of FL, and Tiffany Schleeter also of FL. Preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Marie Hlavka, her husband of 50 years, Charles (2009), her sister Dorothy Dvorak and her step daughter-in-law, Digna Schleeter. Marie was the most devoted wife to Charles and supported his love of farming. Funeral service for Marie will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home with Deacon Patrick Forsythe officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private Interment Providence Ridge Cemetery, Elwood. Memorials in Marie's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be most appreciated.
