Marilyn Thompson (nee Craig), age 97, of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her home with family by her side. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Gregory) Bauman and Beverly Hammond, numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Good friend Frank Guerra also survives. Marilyn is preceded in death by her loving husband Alton, parents Elmer and Elsie Craig, sons Bruce and Brian and one sister Jacqueline. Marilyn was born in Joliet and attended Plainfield schools. She married Alton in 1941 and spent many years helping him farm along with their children. Marilyn was an active member of Bethlehem Church in Morris for many years. Marilyn was also a member of the Wilton Center and Green Garden Snip "n" Snack 4-H Clubs. She was a loving mother and a wonderful cook and baker. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of Marilyn's life will take place on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. at Lloyd Erickson Park located at 801 N. Chicago Avenue in Elwood. Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
