Mark S. Bulanda, age 67, of Braceville, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He is survived by his mother Diane J. (nee Marnell) Bulanda, his sons Nick and Alex Bulanda, his grandson Xander Bulanda, his siblings Jim (Deborah) Bulanda, David (Peggy) Bulanda, Lisa (Edward) Prendergast, Greg (Sara) Bulanda and Susan (Michael) Shepherd, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by his hero and father, Joseph J. Bulanda and his son Jake Bulanda. 

Mark was a graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights and worked for Yellow Freight for more than 25 years. Mark was also an entrepreneur at heart. He was involved in several business throughout the years from pizza shops to auto and motorcycle shops to car dealerships. He and his sons started a custom auto shop called Ultimate Rides in Braidwood, Il, he has since retired and Nick and Alex have continued to run this successful business taking after their father in their good business practices. Mark loved sports in his younger years and later his passion became motorcycles and antique cars. He recently won the People’s Choice Award at a car show at the church he attended, Jackson Creek Fellowship Church in Monee, IL. Mark was a people person, he cared deeply for people, especially those that were less fortunate than he was.

Mark will be remembered as a sharp dresser, a good son, dad, brother, and uncle and loyal friend to many. 

Mark’s life will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2026, with a visitation from 6:00pm – 8:00pm followed by his funeral service at 8:00pm at Jackson Creek Fellowship Church, 25800 S. Center Rd., Monee, IL. A private burial will take place the following day at Braceville Cemetery, Braceville, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
