Mary Ann Head (nee Ahrens), age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 with family at her side. Survived by her children Susan (Patrick) Sullivan, Robert (Tammy) Head, Thomas Head and Daniel (Dale) Head, grandchildren Amy (Garrison) Weck, Patrick (Liz) Sullivan, Timothy (Leah) Sullivan, Michael (Mariah) Sullivan, Kelsey (Patrick Forristal) Sullivan, Robert (Joelle) Head, Ryan Head, William Head, Christopher Head, Thomas (Kariee) Head, Tyler Head and Sarah Head, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Pauline Ahrens, her husband William and six siblings. Mary Ann was a long-time member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, Markham, and St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, Tinley Park. Mary Ann was a homemaker for her entire life, having her family around her is what brought her most joy. Visitation for Mary Ann will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 9:30 – 11:30 A.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home followed by procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan for 12:00 Noon Mass of Christian Burial. Committal service and interment will be at 1:30 P.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood where Mary Ann will be reunited with her husband William.
