Mary Loraitis, age 102, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2021 at Lightways Hospice Home (founded as Joliet Area Community Hospice), Joliet, IL. Survived by her son Jim (Donna) Loraitis and her grandchildren Michelle Loraitis and Jameson Loraitis. Preceded in death by her parents George and Sophie (nee Racozy) Gloss, her husband Felix Loraitis (1988) and her siblings Sophia Troyjanowski, Ann Newlin and John Gloss. Mary worked as a clerk at various businesses for a number of years and she was an active member of St. Joseph Church in Manhattan. Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral will be the same day beginning with prayers at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home followed by procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North St., Manhattan, for 11:00 A.M.
