Mike was a graduate of Joliet Central High School. He farmed for his father for 20 years and then went to work for Rexene Polymer as a maintenance mechanic followed by Caterpillar holding the same position and retiring after over 22 years. Mike enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, hunting pheasant, rabbit, and deer and he also liked to take in a day of fishing. Mike once shot a 7-point buck 40 yards off his deck in his socks and he still has the rack. This was a highlight in his life. Mike also enjoyed eating and his favorite place to eat was Colleen's kitchen. Mike was a huge Nascar fan and raced Mini stock cars at the Joliet Stadium with pit crew Floyd Meredith and Bill Nicholson. Mike had many great times in his life but above all, he took the most pride in his family, a loving dad, dear grandpa, cherished great grandpa, beloved brother and best uncle, he will be dearly missed.
