Michael M McCutcheon, 74, New Lenox, IL passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2020 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Survived by his loving wife Grace (nee Anders) McCutcheon, his children Rebecca (Marcus) Gentry, Rachel McCutcheon and Stephen McCutcheon, his grandchildren Ethan McCutcheon and Matthew, Christian and Katherine Gentry, his brother Bruce (Jennifer) McCutcheon and his sister-in-law Lisa Crockett. Preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Merle McCutcheon, his son Mark McCutcheon, his brother Allan McCutcheon and his sister Barbara McCutcheon. Mike was a proud veteran who served his country with the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Michael McCutcheon (Thd, DMin, PhD in Cross Cultural Studies) was a student of the Word for over 50 years; the first 28 years as a pastor and church planter and the latter years as an adjunct teacher at the Maharashtra Bible College in Bodwad, Maharashtra (India) and the Grace Bible College in Amravati, Maharashtra (India). He also operated a teaching ministry to pastors, evangelist, church planters, etc throughout South Asia via a website designed for equipping and encouraging church leaders. Upon his retirement he supervised The Trinity Woodworking shop for men who have physical and intellectual disabilities, He was an active member of Parker Road Bible Church and was plugged into various ministries of the church. He was a regular at Friday morning men's group; co-taught one of the adult Sunday school classes with the pastor, volunteered with Awana and filled the pulpit this year. He also had been mentoring several men at Parker Road. Mike was a model citizen and a sincere, humble man. He touched many lives in a positive way, most of whom we will never know. His vast knowledge of all aspects of theology and overall human experience will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Mike will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 1-3:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mike will be on the same day at 3:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. All CDC rules will apply. Per Mike's wishes, cremation will follow. Interment with full military honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood on a future date.
