Nicole Lopez, age 44, of Mokena, passed away with her loving family at her side on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Lightways Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her parents Fernando Lopez and Vicki Lopez, her long time partner and best friend of 25 years Chris Mojzis, her children Christian Lopez, Devin Mojzis and Serenity Mojzis, her brothers Fernando Lopez and Antonio Lopez, numerous nieces and nephews and many more loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Angeline and Frank Huml and her paternal grandparents Joaquin Lopez and Elvira Olivares. Nicole was a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School. She also attended South Suburban College attaining her Court Reporter certification. Nicole was a free spririt and was the sweetest person all the time. She loved Halloween and scary movies. Nicole was generous, loving, kind and selfless. Her life was all about family, especially her children. Nicole will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Nicole will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place the same day at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home.
