Obituary

Peggy Ann Wielgus (nee Misunas), age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Lightways Hospice, Joliet, IL. She is survived by her children Dustin (Ria) Wielgus and Jason (Magen) Wielgus, her grandchildren Liliana, Everett, Bennett, Ford, and Elodie, her siblings Janet (Patrick) Vincent, Carol Harris, Laura (Paul) Kurzeja, Mike Misunas, John Misunas and Patty Sargis, sisters-in-law Pamela (Eugene) Kwon and Karen Wielgus, numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion Lucy. Preceded death by her parents Edmund and Theresa (nee Donohue) Misunas, her husband Scott Wielgus (2022) and her brother Gary Misunas. Peggy was a graduate of Richards High School in Oak Lawn. She was a member of Jackson Creek Fellowship Church in Green Garden Twp. Peggy loved all animals, she worked at an animal hospital and often came home with all kinds of critters. She groomed dogs for a time and worked at Alsip Nursery. Peggy had another business called Peggy's Pony Rides with her partner "Penny" the Pony. Peggy will be remembered for her over the top celebrations and decorations for holidays, her infectious laugh and her wonderful sense of humor. She was a loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Peggy will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the following day at Jackson Creek Fellowship Church 25800 South Center Rd, Monee, IL 60449 where Peggy will lie-in-state from 9:30 until the time of her funeral service at 10:45 A.M. Peggy will then be reunited with Scott at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, at 12:30 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
