Phyllis A. Cammack, age 88, of Elwood, IL previously of Marley, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Salem Village, Joliet, IL. She is survived by her children; Laura (Steven) Hackett of Wilmington, Allen (Lynda) Cammack of Manhattan, and Linda (Jeffrey) Koopman of Elwood, her grandchildren; Stephanie (Brian) Pohlman, Natalie (Timothy) Casey, Valerie (Matthew) Hawkins, Kelley (Adam) Getzelman, Kimberly (Andrew) Wendt, Scott (Taylor) Cammack and Payton Koopman, great grandchildren; Eastyn, Emery and Ellyson Pohlman, Phillip and Adaline Casey, Will and Jay Hawkins, Bishop and Scottlyn Getzelman, Liam and Riley Wendt, her brother; Edward (Lynne) Krejca of Frankfort, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Vlasta (nee Kolar) Krejca, and her husband Lester Cammack. Phyllis was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Evergreen Park, IL. She moved to Marley, IL in 1959 where she raised her family and operated her own beauty shop. She was a long-time member and Deaconess of the Marley Community Church where she was actively involved. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation for Phyllis will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place the same day beginning at 9:30 AM, also at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home with pastor Mike Engle of Elwood Community Church officiating. Phyllis will then be reunited with her husband Lester at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
