Renee Newton, "Aunt Renee" was a wonderful woman that was loved and cherished by her family and friends. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, Godmother, and sister. Renee was born February 9th, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She spent most of her days living in Mokena with her loving husband, Larry Newton and his two children. Through her journey of life, she made many lifelong friends and was a very loving and caring person. She spent most of her career as a Home Care Provider. Bowling was her favorite sport and played on a league for many years. She also loved to play Poker and Canasta. During this time, she became a master at cheating in a game of UNO. Once she retired, she and her husband moved to Loda, Illinois where she spent most of her time fishing, sewing, and doing crafts. There was nothing more that she wanted to do than to spend time with her husband, family, and friends. Renee Newton was granted her angel wings on November 11th, 2021. Renee is survived by her loving children Larry Jr. Newton; Teresa (Steve) Miller; her siblings Tony Ortiz; Barbara (Wayne) Breymeyer; Dolly Pitula; Linda L. Sparks; Babe Smith; her many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and godchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents Fabian & Louise Ortiz, husband Larry Newton, sister Arlene O'Hara, and brothers Michael Ortiz and Frank Ortiz. Visitation for Renee will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan.
