Richard R. Cloutier, age 90 of Manhattan, fondly known by friends and family as "Rich," departed this life on September 22, 2025. Born on July 13, 1935, Rich lived a full life marked by faith and the simple pleasures that brought him joy. Survived by his wife Marion (nee Fletcher), Bob (Chris), Wayne (Kathy), and Ron Cloutier, grandchildren Brian, Amanda, Francesca (Nick), Todd (Haley), and great grandchildren Aliyah, Kaleb, Jimmy, Kolton, and Millie. Rich was a proud Army veteran. His love for bald eagles was fitting for someone whose service symbolized strength and freedom. Guided by his Catholic faith, his principles were evident in his approach to challenges, leaving a legacy of wisdom that will carry on through his family. His interests showed just how much pleasure he took in the world's natural beauty. He loved to go out fishing and camping through the years, especially at the Thousand Trails campground that he and Marion had countless experiences with. His skills in woodworking further showed off his creativity and appreciation of the earth around him. He also adored tending to his garden at home in his later years.

Rich was a life-long supporter of the Chicago White Sox, taking the highs and lows with stride in loyalty. As an avid bowler back in the day, he harnessed a competitive spirit in his sportsmanship.

He also took pleasure and found peace in crossword puzzles. He is celebrated for a life well lived and cherished for the memories and knowledge he gifted to his family. A devoted husband, Pa, and Peepaw who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
