Richard R. Ziervogel, age 93, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023, with loving family at his side. Survived by his children Karen (Bill Constant) Ziervogel, Donna (Robert) Mack, and David (Michelle) Ziervogel, his grandchildren Randy (Samantha) Ziska, Neil Ziska, Jenna (Josh Highbaugh) Ziska, Amber (Jeremy) Convoy, Barry (Toni) Eye, Vanessa Eye, Carl (Shanna) Balwierz, Stacy (Michael) Palka, Amanda (James) Vail, Danielle (Josh) Birt, and Mason (Laura) Ziervogel, 26 great grandchildren and his feline companion "Boots".

Preceded in death by his parents William and Emma (nee Siebert) Ziervogel and his beloved wife Beverly Ziervogel (2020).

Richard was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving our country with the U.S. Army. He was the oldest member of the Edwardsburg, Michigan VFW post #2284. Richard worked for and retired from Illinois Bell as a dispatcher after many years. He loved animals, outdoors, wood and lakes. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard will be reunited with his wife Beverly on May 1, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood with full military honors.
