Robert W. Eden Jr., age 84 of Wilton Township, passed away at Lightways Hospice Home on Thursday, August 20, 2026, with his family by his side.

Robert was born in Wilton Township on April 18, 1942 to Robert Sr. and Audrey (nee Attaway) Eden.

Robert attended Olivet Nazarene University and was a trained barber. He worked at a barbershop in Chicago and was a lifelong farmer in Wilton Township.

Surviving are his sister, Irene Younghusband of Wilton Township, IL and 10 nieces and nephews; Kimberly (Ed) Fleming of Rockdale, IL, Allison (Cletus) Bullinger of Bourbonnais, IL, Jodie (Rodney) Antonides of Joliet, IL, Wendy (Ed) Hansen-Smith of Columbus, OH, Brent (Bobbi) Younghusband of Wilton Township, IL, Becky (Dean) Pearson of Shrewsbury, PA, Jamie (Randy England) Smith of Joliet, IL, Kristi (Kelly) Schroeder of Loveland, CO, Amy Hansen of Merriam, KS, and Jeremy Hansen of Wilton Township, IL.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert Sr. and Audrey (nee Attaway) Eden, brother-in-law, Roger Younghusband, and his sister and brother-in-law, Litta and Wilbur “Skip” Hansen.

Robert was a caregiver for both of his parents as they aged and was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
