Obituary

Robert "Bob" Singraber, age 79, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with his family at his side. He is survived by his children; Annette Voytas, Bobby Singraber, Lyn (Michael) Melnick, and Ken Singraber; his grandchildren; Christopher, Joey, Zachary, Eric, Alexis, Luc, Blake, and Brock. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years Lucille Singraber (2011), his son Robbie, and his brothers and sisters. Robert was proud that he served his country as a Marine. He was a family man through and through, attending many of his grandchildren's events as long as he was able. Robert otherwise known as "Papa", had ongoing playful banter with those that he lived with like cutting out cartoons and labeling them with those he felt they represented and giving adoring nick names to those around him. Even though he was a White Sox fan, he traditionally took the grandchildren to the Cubs convention every year. Other favorite pastimes of Robert's were watching the Bears game, occasionally gambling at the casinos, and making soup for his family, but most of all, Bob wanted to be with Lucille and missed her more than anything, he never stopped talking about her and was ever ready to reunite with the love of his life. Visitation for Robert will be Monday, September 4, 2017 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL 60435.
