Rosemary Chellios (nee VanDyke), age 90, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. She is survived by her children, Sheila Perkins, Danny (Lynn) Chellios, and Roseann (Tracy) Johnson. She is also survived by Bill (Donna) Chellios, Weslie VanDyke, Glen VanDyke, Jerry Skineotis, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Constantino S. Chellios, parents Irvan and Laura (nee Cottriel) VanDyke, step-mother Edna VanDyke, brothers, Irvan (Deloris) VanDyke Jr., Robert VanDyke, Thomas VanDyke, sisters, Ina (Delmer) Cox, Josephine (Ray) Mossberger and Linda (Robert) Shelby. Also preceding her in death were in-laws, Spiro (Maria) Chellios, Sophia (nee Chellios) Powell, Ethemous (Marlyn) Chellios and son-in-law David Perkins Sr. Rosemary was a member of the St Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington, Il. She was a 30 year member of the Moose, receiving her friendship award. She was an eleven year member of the Gardner Lions Club receiving her foundation fellow for her many areas of service and participating as her daughter Sheila's Partner in Service with Lions International. Rosemary was an 18 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Gardner and a Ten year member of the VFW Auxiliary in Wilmington, Il. She enjoyed bingo, seek-a-word puzzles, Yahtzee, her Chicago Cubs, Bears and Black Hawks and participating in her many children's, great grandchildren's, and great-great grandchildren's activities. She was famous for her Christmas morning cinnamon rolls and she loved going to Kentucky to celebrate the Derby. She was proud of her children and their families. Visitation for Rosemary will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan, IL. Funeral service will take place the same day at 3:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. Private interment will take place the following morning at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosemary's name to the Lions Club International Foundation, Leader Dogs, or Shriners Children's Hospital would be most appreciated.
