Sean M. Ward, age 53, of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Survived by his wife Cindi (nee Duering) Ward, his daughter Elizabeth (Kendall) Geddings, his mother Annette Horath, his father James A. Ward Sr., his stepson Dillon Schaffnit, his brother James A. (Buffy) Ward Jr., his sister Jennifer Calkins, his nephews Zach Calkins, Logan (Bailie)Ward, Hayden (Mikayla) Ward and Devin Ward, his great nephews Hudson, Gryffin and Marshall and many friends. Preceded in death by his nephew Adam Calkins, his stepfather Stephen Horath, and his brother-in-law Keith Calkins. Sean was a graduate of Plainfield High School. He worked as a plumber with the Local 422 for several years before becoming a member of the Pipefitters Local 597. Sean enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, football especially the Chicago Bears, baseball, Nascar, and working on cars and motorcycles. Sean loved the color blue; he owned a blue truck and his beautiful blue corvette. Sean will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
