Shannon M. Magurany, age 53 of Channahon, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025. She is survived by her children Jakob Magurany, Sam Magurany, and Isabell Magurany, parents Gregory and Shiela (Perkins) Jakus, brothers Darrin and Shawn (Jill) Jakus, and nephews Camden and Dylan Jakus.

Shannon was raised up through Saint George Catholic Church-she played tennis and graduated from Tinley Park high school. Overall, she was the type of person who was always on-the-go.

When she wasn't busy at work, she poured her energy into caring for her family's home, always exploring the next possibility—whether it was something to fix, something new to try, or somewhere new to go. She had a deep love for venturing out, soaking in different places and experiences, no matter how small.

Her heart for others was undeniable—she loved helping people, whether she knew them personally or not. That same compassion extended to animals as well; always wanting to bring each one in.

And in the quiet moments, she found comfort in watching her favorite movies on repeat, never tiring of the joy they brought. Her love for her family was constant, steady, and deeply felt in everything she did.

She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and auntie who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation for Shannon will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until the time of her funeral service at 7:30 P.M. Cremation will follow.
