Sheila J. Davis, age 72, of Peotone formerly of LaGrange, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James Davis, her daughter, Cynthia (Ronald) Mantooth of Kankakee, her three granddaughters, Katelin, Stephanie, and Hannah, her sister, Billie Sekera, her step-brother, Kenneth (Marsha) Schmidt, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Adelaide Alsip and her step-brother, Larry Schmidt. Sheila was a member of the Green Garden Baptist Church, she had many interests including antiques and collectibles, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her adoring granddaughters. Funeral service for Sheila will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Green Garden Baptist Church, Monee with Pastor Jayson Workman officiating.
