Steven P. Lund, age 67, of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly at home. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta (nee Clancy), his children Jennifer, Steven, and Michael, two grandchildren, his sister Linda (Larry) Welch, his brother Richard III (Diane) Lund and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents Richard Jr. and Adrianne Lund and his infant daughter Susan. Steve served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in South Holland for 51 years before moving to Manhattan. He worked as a Marine Surveyor and was happy to retire. Steve was a dog lover and had a passion for chain saws, especially the big ones. In his spare time, he could be found volunteering for Faith In Action, a Christian movement created by the Knights of Columbus. Steve was handy at just about anything, he was always lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors. Steve's absence will be felt by all who knew him. Visitation for Steve will be on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 4-7:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Private committal service and burial with full military honors will be the Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
