Steven H. Hughes, age 71, of Manhattan IL, formerly of Harvey IL, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Thrash and Linda Prince as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother Iva Mae Hughes; brother Ronald Hughes and his sister Marie Lavigne. As a young man he raced at Raceway Park and continued to enjoy watching races on Television. He was a great camper and also enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a Teamsters local 705 truck driver and he retired from Prairie Creek Grain Co. in Elwood, IL. Funeral service for Steven H. Hughes will be at 6:00 P.M. Friday, April 27, 2018 with Rev. Carol Currier-Frighetto officiating at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan.
