Teresa "Terry" L. Janota (nee Leonard), age 67, of Frankfort, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Franciscan Health with loving family at her side. Survived by her father Leo Leonard, her husband of 48 years Randy Janota, her children Shannon (Jeff) Forsythe, Serena (Brad) Bahn, Sarah (Mark) Anderson, her grandchildren, Zephyr, Nolan, Emery, Beckett, Hazel, and Grayden, her siblings, Julie (Dan) Bauer, Brad (Rhonda) Leonard, Steve (Jodee) Leonard, Dawn (David) Slater and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother Caroldean (nee Miller) Leonard and her brother-in-law Robert Janota. Terry was a graduate of Crete-Monee High School where she met the love of her life Randy. They later settled in Frankfort and had three daughters, whom Terry was dedicated to raising and ensuring grew up to be strong independent women. She loved her grand-children deeply and was devoted to spending time with her family. Terry absolutely loved Christmas and would often begin her countdown at 364 days. She also enjoyed baking, sewing quilts and was known to have crocheted hundreds of baby blankets for anyone who wanted or needed one. Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Terry will take place on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. Funeral Service will take place the following day, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church, 17500 84th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60487, at 11:00AM.
