Theresa M. Gallagher, age 86, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She is survived by two sisters, Cecilia (Truman) Mundt and Doris (Wesley) Hawryluk, and her sister in law, Doris Jean (Francis Gallagher) Robbins and 22 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers; Eugene (Mary Kay), Francis, and Joseph (Betty) Gallagher, five sisters; Irene Gallagher, Bernice (Thomas) Bratcher, Ruth (Paul) Audette, Lillian (Ambrose) Walsh and Hazel Draves, two nieces and one nephew. Theresa was a life-long member of St. Joseph Church in Manhattan. She graduated from St. Joseph Grade School in 1941 and from Peotone High School in 1945. She was a past employee of the 1st National Bank of Joliet for 34 years and retired as Assistant Vice President in 1988. She worked as a volunteer for many years at the Manhattan Library. Funeral service for Theresa M. Gallagher will be 9:30 A.M. on Monday, May 5, 2014 from the Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan, to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 235 W. North Street, Manhattan, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
