Thomas Kendall, age 62, of Manhattan passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Silver Cross Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Karleen (nee Horn) Kendall, his parents Larry and Shirley (nee Bruszer) Kendall, his children; Joshua Kendall, Erica (Ender) Oktayuren, Michelle Kendall and Karlie (Ryan) Polhemus, his grandchildren; Ender Jr., Elyse, Avery, RJ and Everett, his siblings; Carol (Bill) McGuire, Michael Kendall and Patty (Todd) Mancuso, his brother-in-law Howard Doty and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister Nancy Doty, and his two brothers; Robert Kendall and John Kendall. Tom was a cement finisher for over 30 years. He was a proud union member of Local 502 and served on the board for a number of years. Tom enjoyed sports especially the Chicago Cubs and the Blackhawks. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish at his cabin in the U.P. in Michigan. Among Tom's other pastimes, he like to do some woodwork and could build just about anything but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, his wife, children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Visitation for Tom will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be the next day, Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. also at the funeral home with Pastor Carol Currier-Frighetto officiating. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan, IL.
