Tony De Venuto, age 79, of Manhattan, beloved husband of Maria (nee Tito) for 56 years; adored and loving father of the late John (Valerie) De Venuto, the late Joanne (Steve) Walling, Rose (Michael) Petrizzo, and Michele De Venuto. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Rosemaria, Daniella, Jessica, Courtney, Joanne and Ryan. Dear brother of the late Pasquale (the late Carmela), the late Rose (the late Andy) Ferrucci, and the late Dan (the late Kathy) De Venuto. Fond brother-in-law of the late Lucia (the late Victor) Martino, the late Carmelina Torelli, the late Assunta, and the late Donato (Giulia) Tito. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tony immigrated to America at the age of 14 from Corato (Bari), Italy. He brought with him his talents of wood refinishing and spent much of his career at Plunket Furniture. He went back to Italy to meet and marry his beloved wife Maria in 1964, which was when he started his family in Blue Island, IL. Tony always kept busy, he enjoyed, gardening, wine making and good food to name a few. Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Tony will be Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 P.M. also at the funeral home.
