Vance Clayton Manheim, age 62, of Manhattan died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home with his family around him. He is survived by 1 daughter Amanda Manheim of Kentucky, 2 sons Clayton and Wyatt of Manhattan, former wife Lynn Manheim of Kentucky, 2 sisters, Deborah (Danny) Latham and Kathy Manheim, 1 brother Gary (Yevette) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Erik (1999) and his parents Walt and Mildred Taylor Manheim. Vance was born in Joliet, grew up in New Lenox and lived in Manhattan for the past 30 years. He graduated from Lincoln-Way High School, Class of 1971 and was a long time member of the Wilmington Moose Lodge #343 and the NRA. He has been the owner/operator of County Septic & Sewer for the past 38 years. Vance love the outdoors, camping and fishing and had a particular liking for antiques.
