Viola "Violet" Ziman, age 94, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at home. She is survived by her loving sons, Gregory (Dee) Ziman of Plainfield, and Brian (Janet) Ziman of Manhattan, her grandchildren, Anthony (Marcie) Ziman, Jonathon Ziman, and David (Melissa) Ziman. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Chalus, her husband, her son, Jerome, and her grandson, Daniel. Viola was an active senior club member for years. She loved and taught crochet and knitting at the library center. She was a long time member of St. Galls Church in Chicago. Viola will be remembered for being energetic and independent. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan IL. Private family services were held.
