Violet Moorman, nee LeMaster, age 89, originally of Kentucky, formerly of Streator and more recently of Joliet, Passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, Joliet. She is survived by two sons, Robert H. (Pat) Moorman of Texas and Ronald B. (Beverly) Moorman of North Carolina, one daughter Brenda (Al) Matulis of Manhattan, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one sister Doris Edlin of Kentucky. Preceded in death by her parents George and Mayme Harper LeMaster, husband of 70 years Robert Moorman, three sisters; Virginia Thames, Mable Patty, and Agnes Fulkerson, one grandson Ronald B. Moorman Jr. Violet was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was at the center of her world. She was an excellent cook and was known for her pecan pies. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Funeral service for Violet Moorman will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan. Rev. Esi Sey officiating.
