Obituary

Warren Earl Braam. Born on March 25, 1926, Chicago, IL. of immigrant families. Died on November 21, 2016, at Joliet Area Community Hospice. He was 90-years-old. Served as a Sergeant in the Army Air Forces from 1944 to 1946, recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, and the Army of Occupation Medal. He was a two-way radio technician, entrepreneur in electronics, artist, musician, philosopher, scientist, liberal, humanist and perpetual tinkerer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jeannette Braam. They have six children; Kenneth, 1952-1972, Joann, her husband William Dorsey, Robert, his wife Karen (Juricic), Janet, her husband Nicholas Arcaro, Phillip, his wife Jill (Carey) and Jonathan. Warren leaves six grandchildren; Samuel, his wife Doris (Scheerer), Warren's great-granddaughter, Charlotte, and Dylan, Danielle, Taylor, Savanna and Alejandro. Warren had a brother, George Braam, and has a sister, Roberta Shoemate. Warren was kind, idiosyncratic and deeply sincere, so an inspiration to us all. At a forthcoming date, as a celebration of his life and our love, Warren's family will gather at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL for his interment. Notifications of the event will be sent. Gifts, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Joliet Area Community Hospice to whom the family is grateful. Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
