Warren Lee Harmon, age 85, of Manhattan, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his daughters home in Warren, MN. on Thursday, August 3, 2017. He is survived by his daughter Donna (Brian) Peterson, two grandchildren, Brian (Gayle) Pulliam and Katie Peterson, one great granddaughter Hope, his sister Patricia Patterson, two sisters-in-law Connie McElyea and Pat Dahlkamp and special friends, Jim, Karen, Chuck and Ryan Gentile, Pam Simpson. Preceded in death by his mother Zelda Harmon, his wife of 60 years Dolores Harmon (2014), and his brother Butch McElyea. Warren was a proud veteran of the Marines where he served in the Korean War. He worked with Bell Telephone retiring after 35 years. During that time he became a member of the Telephone Pioneers, an organization that gave and served several charities throughout the United States. He was a member until the day he passed. Warren humbly served and gave to multiple charities throughout his life and was still on the Board of Friends of United Cerebral Palsy. Visitation for Warren will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 9:00 until 12:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon the same day with Rev. Carol Currier-Frighetto officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at 1:30 P.M.
