Willard A. Hackman, age 82, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Veterans Home in Manteno, Il. He is survived by one son Bill (Debbie) Hackman of Manhattan, three sisters; Lorraine Hackman of New Lenox, Ann Marletta of Florida and Peggy (Scott) Corey of Peotone. Preceded by his parents Bernard and Genevieve Vaupel Hackman, one daughter Margaret Hackman, one son Alan Hackman, one brother Claude Hackman and three sisters Donna Eggum, Carol Bradshaw and Kay Abrath. Willard worked for the Rock Island Railroad as a switchman for many years. He served his country during the Korean War with the US Air Force. Private funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 3rd at Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan. Interment with military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
