September 21, 1944 – September 9, 2023
William M. Haley Sr. "Bill", age 78, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet. Survived by his four sons; Joseph (Sara) Haley, John Haley, William (Ashley) Haley Jr., and Daniel Haley, grandchildren; Hazel, Irelyn, Jack and Colin, siblings; Mary McGowen, Joan (Don) Tulley, and Sharon Erdman, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Francis and Mary (nee Martin) Haley, brothers Frank Haley and Tom Haley, a nephew David Haley and brothers-in-law Dick McGowen and Tom Erdman. Bill was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School, and he served his country with the U.S. Army Reserves. Bill worked in sales at Kline's Clothing Store in downtown Joliet. Later he went on to own and operate a sandblasting company in Joliet for several years before opening his own water business called B & H which he operated for the past 20 years. Bill was a fan of Notre Dame, Chicago Bears, and Chicago White Sox. He also enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and simply spending time with his family. Visitation for Bill will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 10:00 until 12:00 Noon at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place the same day at 12:00 Noon. Interment with committal service will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Manhattan. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
