Obituary

William H. Heisner "Bill", age 54, of Peotone, passed away unexpectedly as a result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He is survived by his four brothers; Bernard (Susan) of Fairview Heights, John Of Onarga, Kent (Karen) and Dean both of Peotone and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin J. and Ester L. (nee Krapf) Heisner. Bill was a lifetime dairy farmer and in Bill's younger years, he was a member of the 4-H and the FFA. He enjoyed tractor pulling, farm toy collecting, going to county fairs, antiques and antique mall shopping, collecting and reading old farm magazines, watching history programs on PBS, and spending time with family and friends. Bill was also a devoted and lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and a member of the Men's Fellowship League where he enjoyed activities such as Dartball. Funeral service for Bill will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 140 S. Thelma St., Manhattan, with Rev. Carol Currier-Frighetto officiating. He will lie-in-state at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5-9:00 p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Interment Manhattan Center Cemetery, Manhattan. Memorials in Bill's name to St. Paul United Church of Christ would be most appreciated. Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
